Eating

Ísafjörður’s eating places seem to be under a curse – no sooner does a new cafe or restaurant open than it shuts down again. As we were going to press, news reached us that the town’s two cafe-bars, thriving this summer, had both closed down. Try the Edinborg cultural centre (where the tourist office is based) to see if a new establishment has installed itself; otherwise you’re left with few options, including the hotel restaurant or pizzas and hot dogs from the sweetshop Hamraborg.
